Why is it important to Reflect?

Reflection is something we all do all of the time. Whether that is in work, at home or whilst learning wherever we are. It is important to reflect because when we do, it could make things more positive, memorable or even more motivating. You might need to reflect to remember something or information too.
Conway (1994) suggests that Reflection is "A process of looking back on what has been done and wondering on it and looking back on what has been done and pondering on it and learning lessons from what did or did not work... The act of deliberation, when the practitioner consciously stops and thinks what should I do now?".
During my time at University after completing my assignments, I have to complete a Reflective Log which looks back at what I've done and makes me think about what I've learned and benefited from and the challenges I've faced.
Creating a Reflective Log requires some theory behind it. The theorist I like to use is Gibbs. He invented the Reflective model "The Reflective Model" (1988) which is made up of 6 stages in order for you to reflect. These 6 are Description, Feeling, Evaluation, Analysis, Conclusion and Action Plan. I like this model as it allows me to reflect effectively and really look in depth at my thoughts and feelings. Having Asperger's and reflecting on thoughts and feelings sometimes doesn't go well together and therefore breaking it down is good for me.
In terms of life, I like to reflect when I can. Reflecting can help me push myself to achieve my dreams and goals in life and it motivates me to be a more determined and better version of myself.
Let me know what you think about reflection.

This blog is very strong. You have referenced your blog which is good as I am aware of where the sources have come from. Your personal experience is linked throughout. However, your blog doesn't flow that well you have mixed up knowledge with personal experience. Next time, only write a little on knowledge base it around reflection
