To readers, I apologise for the long break. I have taken some time out and now believe I can get back into my blogging! Sometimes you just need a break and then you can find your path! Anyway, back to the blog post..

Friendships... something which I have always struggled with but something I've always loved.
There is nothing like having amazing friends you can rely on and who will be by your side no matter what. Recently, I have become friends with some fantastic people after a challenging start to a social life at University. I struggled with loneliness for months until I met these fantastic people through another friend who attended a cafe which was being run by the 'Student Wellbees' (They help at University with Mental Health and Wellbeing) at the University.
I was beyond excited to feel part of something that I decided to become a Wellbee myself and I hope I can help others who have experienced the same as me and get them on the right track.
Making friends at University can be difficult whether you commute in (not always), or you have moved from elsewhere. It can be daunting and coming out of your comfort zone for new people can be challenging. However, there are things which you can do to help yourself to prepare for socialising at University (Although you can do these tips for any social situation whether it's work or college or school).
Below are 3 tips which I recommend to remember when making friends:
1) Put yourself out there - Don't be afraid to stand out and go out. Enjoy it for what it is and try and arrange plans to get talking with your friends. Its okay at University to go and have a shop and not just drink alcohol. Sometimes, a Coffee or a Mcdonald's can be enough.
2) Join Clubs and Societies - This links well with the first piece of advice. It is good to do something different whether that involves doing a sports team or joining the Makeup Society. It makes your time at University or College worth while.
3) Move into Accommodation even if your local - This mainly links to University students and you don't have to actually do this (living at home can be cheaper). However, if you get the opportunity to do the full experience then live your life to the fullest!
