On Saturday 25th May I had the pleasure of being able to experience my first ever Take That concert.
Growing up, Take That have always been a part of my life because of my mum. She and my aunt have been massive fans throughout their lives. I remember growing up always being shown different tours and singing along to all the songs in the car.
And so when the 30th anniversary tour was announced, we were all desperate to get tickets! This was so we could experience a Take That concert altogether!
It meant more to us that Take That were coming to our hometown of Southampton too which was something I hadn't experienced before.
At 10:30am we arrived at the Stadium and there was already another 300+ people ahead of us. However, we did manage to be within the first 500 to arrive at the Stadium which meant we had early access to standing. Waiting 8 hours until 5:30pm was worth it when we were allowed in to find our positions for the concert. We ended up second row! The view was fantastic!
Rick Astley was the support act and brought a huge amount of excitement to warm up for Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald, who came on stage an hour and 15 minutes after.
I was always told by my Mum that a Take That concert is something which is beyond anything else that has been seen. They always try to create a story in which this tour was looking back on the hits of the last 30 years and the journey of 5 boys who became 3. I can honestly agree with this and I loved every moment of the night.
I enjoyed being able to see all of those songs i'd sing as a child in the car in a stadium full of 32,000 people. It was really heart felt and they made it really special. If I could see them again I would!
Look below at some photos I took on the night:
